In Ex-Capes, the tabletop RPG of Retired Supers, we'll play to find out what happened back then, and the risks you'll take as you get dragged back into that life.

In this bundle for Ex-Capes, you'll find:

• A 26-page rulebook for creating your own series, building your own heroes, and creating your won Plots to challenge them. It includes dynamic superheroic art by veteran RPG illustrator Storn Cook.
• Printable Playbook sheets for playing face-to-face.
• 10 pre-written Plots to challenge your heroes, including 'spotlight' plots tied to each Playbook.
• Two dozen "Meanwhile..." prompts to help breathe life into Cape City, your urban home.
• A one-page Reference sheet with the essential procedures for play.
• Links to resources including a shared Character Keeper for playing online.

Red Ant and Firefly haven't "teamed-up" since the divorce, but they both have to admit it's exciting to be in danger together again.

In Ex-Capes, each player will take on a super-heroic archetype that they once embodied: The Fastest, The Scariest, The Smartest, The Strongest, The Toughest. As the facilitator of the game (called The Master of Ceremonies, or MC)  presents a series of Plots related to their old lives to draw them back into the world of Capes, a looming Crisis gathers strength in the background that they must ultimately confront to learn what their legacy in Cape City will be.

Ex-Capes is a "Powered by the Apocalypse" game based on The Between by Jason Cordova, so previous experience with that game, any of its "Carved from Brindlewood" hacks, and/or other PBTA games like Masks or Monster of the Week will be helpful, but not essential.

It's principally designed for longer-term play, perhaps two dozen or so sessions, but can be played as a one- or two-shot by concentrating on a single Plot.  A robust shared document is available to facilitate online play, or you can play in-person using the printed sheets.
